With an unprecedented number of illustrations: the drawings and colour frontispiece from theJohn Hamilton editions and all the illustrations that accompanied the stories in Modern Boy, as well as the line frontispiece from the Boys Friend Library version. Owing to Modern Boy being printed on poor quality newsprint the illustrations reproduced from it are more for historical content than quality of reproduction.
